US Ski Team Day
This Saturday, February 11th, Snowbasin will be hosting a GS race on City Hill with all proceeds going to the US Ski Team as they strive toward their goal of being "The Best in the World". I know that several of us will be unable to attend to due conflicting races, but for our Devo Team members this is a great opportunity to support Snowbasin and The US Ski Team. The race will start at 10:00. There is a $5.00 Entry Fee due at the start. Then, awards will be at 3:00 in the main plaza. See below for more info.

Additional Training
Coach Jay Sawyer will be leading our Jr. Varsity and Varsity members, who are able to attend training this Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00, through a SL progression to build confidence and acquire correct blocking technique. Any JV and Varsity members who want a little extra training before this weekends race at Park City should be there. Cost will be $20 to those who attend. I would like to thank Jay for taking this extra step to assure our athletes are prepared.

Team Center
The United Kingdom Ski Group starts on Friday. Please continue to show these guest the same respect that you have shown to our visiting athletes over the last two weekends. There will be people in and out of the Team Center all day long, please keep your personal belongs secured. There will be several groups during the month, ending on February 26th. Everyone needs to use the upstairs.

U.S. Ski Team Day

Date: Feb. 11
Description:
Snowbasin is excited to host U.S. Ski Team Day along with over 65 other alpine and cross-country ski areas across the nation. All participating resorts will donate one dollar per lift ticket or track pass sold that day to support U.S. Ski Team initiatives. Participating alpine and cross-country areas will be conducting special on-site promotions during the event day. Join Snowbasin Resort in Earls Lodge for a taste of the flavors and wines of Piedmont.

We will also be holding an Alpine Ski Race and two Nordic Ski Races (a Classic and a Skating). The Alpine Ski Race allows the racers to challenge themselves, their friends and even the U.S. Ski Team with the two fastest runs counting towards a pin or medal. Both of the Nordic races are approximately 3K long with age groups for both males and females. The prizes will then be handed out at a ceremony later in the day.

Where: The Alpine Ski Race will be held at City Hill. The Nordic Ski Races will start from the Stadium Area. The prize ceremony will be held at the Main Plaza
Price: $5 entry fee plus lift ticket (Snowbasin's discount ticket rate will be afforded to all racers)
