This will be my third season the Snowbasin coaching staff. During the 2002-03 ski season, I assisted several classes during training and on race days. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people making new friends and skiing at Snowbasin. My husband Jay, will be coaching the Devo Elite group this year. We also have two children – Katelyn and Jake who will be racing for their fourth season. We're a family who loves to ski!

I grew up in Delaware and learned to ski when I was 10 years old. My family would take a one week ski vacation every year to Vermont . Six whole days of skiing all year! Wow! As a junior in college at the University of Delaware , I decided to venture West to experience “The greatest snow on Earth”. I graduated from USU in 1987 and never returned to the Eastern slopes.

I am currently a first Grade teacher in the Logan City School District . I have been teaching First Grade since 1990. I also have 14 years of ski teaching experience at Beaver Mountain in Logan . (Which is where Jay and I met!) I received my Level 2 teaching certification with PSIA in 1987. I have taught all levels of skiing and supervised the youth ski program for children ages 5-10 for 10 years.

Skiing has always been one of my favorite sports; however, most of my competitive experience was in swimming. I competed in swimming from age eight through college.

My goals are to teach children the proper mechanics of skiing in a safe, fun learning environment and to promote positive growth in social, emotional and physical areas of development.

I am excited to work with the Snowbasin coaching staff and am looking forward to getting to know the children and their families.
